Religious or Civil Ceremony

You first need to decide whether you want a Civil or a Religious ceremony. Then start with the basic wedding package and design the ceremony to your taste.

The Civil Ceremony is the only marriage that changes your marital status from single to married. The Matrimonio Civil is performed by the Registro Civil. The justices perform these marriages in the Judges office or at the wedding site. The Acta de Matrimonio (marriage certificate) is recognized by the government of Mexico and most countries.

The Civil Ceremony is fairly straightforward. It is easily arranged and not as bureaucratic as it sounds. Language is used that will make the ceremony romantic and memorable. The words of the 19th century poet are recited and the justices allow for personal vows. A translator will simultaneously interpret the ceremony.

The Religious Ceremony is performed by a local minister on site or by a Catholic priest in the beautiful beach chapel. The religious ceremony does not change your marital status. You may want to get married by a Justice of the Peace in your country of origin.
