Santa Maria El Tule The famous Tule Tree in this small church courtyard is over 2000 years old and is believed to weigh 636,100 metric tons. The astounding perimeter of 57.9 m is believed to be the largest girth of any tree on earth. It dwarfs the tiny church setting quietly next to it. |

Monte Alban One of the most important and spectacular pre-Hispanic ruins in Mexico. It stands regally atop a green mountain overlooking Oaxaca City. It flourished during the Classic Period. It was was a cosmopolitan city in it's heyday. It was a huge complex of tombs, pyramids, platforms, and temples. |

Santo Domingo Church The baroque interior of this church is one of the most stunning church in Mexico. The construction began on in 1575 and was consecrated in 1611. The exconvent next to it is the home of the Museo Regional de Oaxaca. The museum includes exhibits from Tomb 7 of Monte Alban and from each of the regions Indigenous people. . |
